카네기의 인간관계 삼십훈(三十訓)   1. Don’t criticize, condemn or complain. 상대방의 의견에 비판, 멸시, 불평은 하지 마세요.   2. Give honest, sincere appreciation. 진솔한 이해로 다가가세요.   3. Arouse in the other person an eager want. 상대방이 원하고 바라는 것에 귀 기울여 보세요.   4. Become genuinely interested in other people. 진심으로 타인에 대한 관심을 가져보세요.   5. Smile! 웃어봐요!   6. Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language. 상대방의 이름을 부르는 소리는 세상 그 어떤 것보다 듣기 좋은 소리라는걸 기억하세요.   7. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves. 듣는 쪽이 되어 보세요. 상대방이 자신에 대해 스스로 거리낌없이 말할 수 있도록 편한 분위기를 만들어 주세요.   8. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests. 상대방의 관심사에 대한 이야기를 화제로 삼아보세요.   9. Make the other person feel important and do it sincerely. 진심 어린 맘으로 상대방이 본인에게 정말 중요한 사람이라고 느끼게 해주세요.   10. The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it! 논쟁은 되도록 피하세요! 11. Show respect for the other person’s opinions. Never say, “You’re wrong”! 상대방의 의견에 절대로 "그건 아니야" 라는 말은 하지 마세요. 상대방의 의견을 존중해 주세요.   12. If you’re wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically. 자신이 틀렸을 때는, 되도록 빨리, 똑 부러지게 인정하세요.   13. Begin in a friendly way. 친근하게 다가가세요.   14. Get the other person saying “YES, YES” immediately. 상대방에게 "그렇지, 그렇지"하는 반응을 이끌어 내도록 해봐요.   15. Let the other person do a great deal of the talking. 자신보다 상대방이 더 많은 얘기를 할 수 있도록 해주세요.   16. Let the other person feel the idea is his or hers. 같이 나눈 이야기라도 상대방으로 하여금 온전한 자기 생각이라고 느끼게 해주세요.   17. Try honestly to see things from the other person’s point of view. 진심으로 입장을 바꿔놓고 생각하도록 노력해보세요.   18. Be sympathetic with the other person’s ideas and desires. 상대방의 생각이나 욕구에 감정이입을 해보세요.   19. Appeal to the nobler motives. 더 가치있는 동기에 호소해보세요.   20. Dramatize your ideas. 생각을 극화해서 재밌게 풀어 나가보세요. 21. Throw down a challenge. 가끔 깊은 생각을 요구하는 질문을 해보세요.   22. Begin with praise and honest appreciation. 어떤 말이든 칭찬과 진솔한 이해가 담긴 말로 말문을 열어봐요.   23. Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly. 상대의 실수를 조용히, 살며시 지적해 주세요.   24. Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person. 상대의 잘못을 지적하기 전에 본인이 실수한 얘기부터 꺼내보세요.   25. Ask questions instead of giving direct orders. 직접적인 명령투의 말보다는 우회적인 질문을 해보세요.   26. Let the other person save face. 상대방이 무안해하지 않도록 해주세요.   27. Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be “hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise”. 조그만 발전에도 아낌없는 칭찬을 해주세요.   28. Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to. 상대방에게 자신감을 주는 말들을 많이 해주세요.   29. Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct. 질책보다는 격려로 다가서세요. 상대방으로 하여금 그들의 실수나 약점이 고치기 쉬운 것이라 느끼게 해주세요.   30.
